These peanut butter Rice Krispie treats are covered with a chocolate ganache covering and stuffed with Snickers and chocolate chips.

I don’t believe I’ve ever loved a Rice Krispie treat more than these Snickers Rice Krispie Treats. When I began to write this piece, I found that I am completely deficient in the Rice Krispie Treat area. That may be because SOMEONE in my family prefers plain Rice Krispie Treats. So anytime I make any of these bars, I have to prepare a batch of plain bars for each individual. Whatevs.

I opted to include some peanut butter into the marshmallow filling, which just enhances the taste of the Snickers bars. I really like the little saltiness it adds! I chopped the Snickers bars into little pieces and stirred them into the cereal as I poured the marshmallows into the bowl. You may wonder why. Because they cause the Snickers bars to melt. That way, you get a Snicker bite every few of nibbles, which is great!

Because I adore chocolate, I topped it with small chocolate chips and a layer of chocolate ganache! The ganache layer hardens somewhat but remains soft enough that it melts in your tongue when you bite into it. I made these bars in a 99 pan since I wanted them to be extra thick. Of course, you could make them in a 913 pan as well, but they’d be half as thick. That could be a better idea if you had someone to share it with. Otherwise, don’t feel awful about creating your own pan size.
